“God is a judge who is perfectly fair.” Psalm 7:11
Judge Thomas J. Maloney was your saving grace if you were a murderer in Cook County Illinois between 1977 and 1991. Those fortunate enough to find themselves in Judge Mahoney’s courtroom could guarantee their freedom with a bribe of $100,000 (or more) to the Justice.
…Great for the murderer… Not so great for the citizens of Cook County.
Judges can make or break a life and a community.
God is the ultimate Judge. How does that make you feel? Unnerved? Hopeless? Thankful?
Moses observed, "Everything He does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright He is!" (Deuteronomy 32:4)
God cannot be bribed or corrupted because His judgments are grounded in His integrity. Because He has all the facts at His disposal, He cannot be fooled. His decisions are always based upon absolute truth. And when God pronounces judgment, He has the power to carry out the punishment.
God's attributes assure us of justice.
God's character is the benchmark by which all human behavior is measured. God "always acts in a way consistent with the requirements of His character as revealed in His law. He rules His creation with honesty. He keeps His word. He renders to all His creatures their due." (The Wycliffe Bible Encyclopedia)
Great for the followers of Jesus – He paid their sin penalty and they are declared innocent.
Not so great for those who reject Jesus – God must hold them accountable for their sins. His justice demands it.
Your View of God Really Matters …
We know who our Judge is. His Justice and Mercy overflow in the sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf. He paid our sin penalty so we can stand before the Judge with a clean slate. We are not judged on a curve or a scale. The slate is either clean or it is dirty… no in between. If you haven’t accepted Christ’s payment for your sin, let today be the day. How to Know God Personally
If you are a follower of Jesus, take a moment to thank God that He has unconditionally forgiven you through Jesus' sacrifice.

James 4:12 NLT “God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or destroy. So what right have you to judge your neighbor?”
GOD, because You are just I know Your justice will prevail.
